FRANCHINO Celestino (21/2/1928-23/9/2014)
Celestino Franchino of West Orange, NJ passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on September 23, 2014 at the age of 86.
Visiting will be held in Paul Ippolito Memorial, 252-256 Henry St., Orange on Thursday, Sept. 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 26th beginning at 9 am in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Orange at 10 am. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
Mr. Franchino was born in Alberona, Foggia, Italy and resided in Orange before settling in West Orange, NJ for over 30 years.
He was employed as a carpenter for the John Maher Co. in Orange for 20 years before retiring in 1993.
Celestino is the beloved husband of the late Rocchina; loving father of Isabella D'Agostino and her husband Michael, Joanne Iacovo and her husband Salvatore, MaryJo Picone and her husband Tony; dear brother of Letizia Forgione and the late Angelina Marucci, Rosa Cirelli and Giuseppina Catoia; cherished grandfather of Melinda and Robert Taylor, Roxana and Stewart Wells, Michael P. D'Agostino, Sara Iacovo, Celeste and Danny Bonilla, Marco Iacovo and Anthony J. Picone.
